Day Eight: The marathon begins

This is the first of many marathons. The title is End of the World which should conclude when I go see the new disaster film 2012 on Friday. The first part of this is scheduled through tomorrow evening when I will heap more goodness to the mix. Keep the music flowing I say. All night long We goin' pitch a Wang Dang Doodle all night long.

Lately, I have been noticing many of the ghost hunting shows have focused their attention on closed up psychiatric hospitals. The misunderstandings of mental disorders have led to some barbaric practices that have left a permanent psychic scars that have never healed even though the patients have died. I think about the pain of dealing with my disorder, and I believe that if I went through what I went though hideous treatments I would windup as a casualty of those systems. I have felt that my home was haunted, but I realized I was the ghost in my own life. This what depression really feels like. If some of the evidence that is collected at sites of haunting points to the reality that Death is not a cure what ails you. there must be a better way to handle all the suffering. Medications works, but it is just a piece of the puzzle. I say this in regards to what my cousin asked me after my uncle passed away. "Is Death a cure for Alcoholism?" I said "yes and everything else." I could be wrong. Dead wrong.

Let's brighten up our moods and play some music. As Frank Zappa once said, "Shut Up And Play Your Guitar.":

Everyone Orchestra, 07-25-2008 (Fri) Field Stage - 2:00pm 10 KLF Detroit Lakes, MN
2008 Lineup: Matt Butler, Steve Kimock, Jason Hann (EOTO/SCI), Johnny Polanski (One Under), Zac Lasher (U-Melt), Allie Kral (Cornmeal), Kim Manning (P-Funk), Jen Durkin (Deep Banana Blackout, Mickey Hart Band) and more TBA.
Conductor Matt Butler brings the interactive, improvisational experience that is Everyone Orchestra back to 10KLF for the 4th year in a row with another surprise cast of in-the-moment, turn-on-a-dime musicians. Following the success and fun of last year's Rex Foundation jam as part of the set, EO will once again be collecting contributions from the audience to help support the musical instruments program at a local school. Last year during the 20 minute ‘Rex Jam,’ $1635 was collected by school board members and students in the audience. Now the kids can rock as hard as EO does!
Past performers with EO at 10KLF have included Steve Kimock, Vince Herman, members of ALO, Hot Buttered Rum, JFJO, Tea Leaf Green, Zilla, Railroad Earth, Signal Path, Madahoochi, Delta Nove, Family Groove Company and many more. Nak 700’s > Sony DAT>WAVE CDR EAC>WAVELAB 5 >FLAC
