Day Two: Late into the evening

As my saga continues, I am reminded of the the many canoe trips that I took as a teenager trough a YMCA camp in Northern Minnesota. The food pack is pump and heavy while we are still feeling kind of green. We have are still getting the feeling of the trail into swagger as we carry our cedar stripped canoes down the portage. The taste of freeze dried meals hasn't quite meshed yet our palates , but soon, it will fuel that fires the furnace of our souls that pushes further onward.

I feel the same as with this year. Having not really heard it fully, I was dimmly ware of the power that it possesed. I felt that it was more a product of the times ( the Sixties Sound) than an organic sound uniquely honed to be their own. As I listened to how the band intertwined their sound, it became more apperent in the songs they jammed on. A Stellar example of this is Dancing in the Street. At times, they will bring up a raga jam that is remimsicnt of East-West ala Paul Butterfield Blues Band.
