The Maiden Voyage

The journey of a million musical notes starts with the first show off my first hard drive. I have a total seven hard drives that are full to the brim of music. I have been an avid collector of music, mostly jam music, but there are the strange and unusual things in the collection as well. The purpose of this blog is to chronicle what is on my hard drives as I play them all in succession.

If I could sum up the underlying passion for this project, it would go back to a conversation I had with a roommate back in 1989. After coming home from a taping session at fellow Dead Head's home ( we had six decks going at the time dubbing many tapes), he asked me, "When, if ever, are you going to listen to all that music?"

That question has haunted me for many years. For the past 5 years, I have had an unquenchable appetite for all this music that has been availble on the internet through P2P sites and Live Music Archive. I would like to say that all of the music I talk about here I will freely share with anybody that asks. Just email me and we can arrange things.

Now to the Music:
